We were driving up the road towards the town of marangu, looking for the Manangu hotel. The directions for it in the Lonely Planet Guide are terrible and basically wrong, but after driving too far and asking around we backtracked some km and checked in. It is a very pleasant place with nice grounds and excellent birding on the grounds.
