Our first stop in Belize was Corozal. We found a campsite, and while Craig and Sharon established a presence there, Bill and Carol and I went in search of a replacement vent window for George. Voila! The first thing we saw going into town was a junkyard with a totally trashed Chevy Van in it... but with a good vent window. We stopped to negotiate. The guy said he usually sold the gypsy window and the frame for $60 (Belize, $30 US). He also said if we took out the glass, which was all we wanted, then he couldn't sell the frame, since it would be messed up. We had to agree with him there. For some reason he sold us the glass for $30 Belize. We husstled ourselves back to the campsite, where we found Craig stuck in the swamp. It was way harder getting him unstuck than we ever imagined it should have been. The insignificant tiny biting ants didn't help, either. Next time, bring the come-along.

After we finally got Craig unstuck and camp set up, we went to work on the gypsy window.

And after all of that, we were ready to sit back and enjoy the view. Craig barbequeued dinner; we all cheered, and watched the birds.
