Our third day in Hobart was predicted to be overcast and wet, so we opted to visit the Mona Museum. Frapps, Deirdre, Clair and Huon all described it in different ways, but all of them thought it was great, and weird. We didn't know what to expect. You'll just have to go there, as I can't show you anything since they wouldn't let us take a camera in with us. In any case, we enjoyed it, or some of it; one of my favorites was a humongous piece that "printed," using dot-matrix type technology, lines of text that fell from the ceiling as a curtain of water. A real geek's piece of art.
Frapps had dropped us off at the museum. It is quite a ways north of town, and there is a boat service which goes to the museum from downtown Hobart. We opted to take it back. While it had rained a bit, it cleared off by the time we headed back, and we got a great view of Mt. Wellington and some of the industry along the shore. There is a shipbuilding operation where they make huge catamarans for ferry service in various places around the world.
