Since 85% of the population of Bali is Hindu and 15% is Muslim, you wouldn't expect many Buddhist temples. According to my map, there was only one, the Brahma Asrama Vihara. It is near Lovina, and on my guided tour with Agung Ngurah we went there. It's an impressive site, at least to a first time Westerner who's never seen any Buddhist temples.

The temple consisted of some small courtyards and a cluster of buildings, with statues of Budda in abundance; inside some of the buildings were statues of Budda with offerings and incense burning.

Then, on a small plateau a bit above the rest of the buildings, there was a more imposing structure that looked like some kind of giant altar.

There was something very different about this temple. It had an ambiance that was soothing and accepting instead of the harsh strictness I feel in a Christian church.
