After a lousy two days fishing the Big Blackfoot River, my friend Wayne Trzyna and I hiked up the North Fork to the falls, and tried fishing in the gorgeous pools just above the falls. It was a fun hike, good to keep us in shape.

I actually caught a ten-incher in the pool directly above the falls. They got incrementally smaller as we moved from pool to pool upstream. As I told Wayne that evening back at the house, it was a heck of a ways to go to catch a 4" fish...
