In mid July, I took Poppie for a conditioning ride across the river. At the very top of our ride, where I turned around to head down a ridge, I found a small patch of ripe huckleberries. We stopped and I filled up a small container. mmmmmmmmm! I froze them for use in pancakes when it got cooler.
