Every year, Ian MacLachlan and Dean Bennett hold a Barn Dance in Ian's old barn over on Monture Creek. It's one of those Ovando summer traditions which is great. For several years now, Norine the Outlaw Queen has provided the entertainment. She's a great one-person show, although she usually has some local sidekicks or brings one with her. There's a big BBQ before hand and I get a chance to catch up with all my neighbors I haven't seen for a while.
