The snow started to melt, and I took a hike up Spread Mountain with my friend Lynde Howe.
In June, we got some great runoff, and snagged the opportunity to run the Dearborn. It was delightful, despite some dunkings.
In July, my nephew Brian Payne and his friend Drew came to visit for a few weeks. We took a canoe trip through the white cliffs section of the Missouri, and had a great time.
After our canoe trip on the mighty Mo, we just about killed ourselves on a great hike in the Missions.
My step nephew, Bjorn Freeman-Benson, flew in for a quick visit in August. Besides seeing Bjorn, whom I hadn't seen since he was knee high to a sheep rancher, I really enjoyed the paint job on his plane.
After promising to visit for years, three great college buddies (Kent Wiley, Steve Amira, Vic Lerish) finally made it. We had a great time hiking and sightseeing.
A week or so later, my friend Lynde and I did some hiking and canoeing in Glacier Park.
